| OUR ONLY GOAL |
| It’s not standard practice for an agency to charge a fee to prospective clients, but most non-fee agents work with established authors only and won't take on a new writer. We work with unpublished authors only, because we know the frustration they go through trying to find an agent who will represent them. It’s easy to sell an established author, but selling the work of an unknown writer takes time and money, and so it has become absolutely necessary for Princeton Literary Agency to charge a fee. We don't accept everything that’s sent to us though. We are selective about who we represent. We don’t charge a reading fee, but we do charge all clients an annual representation fee of $100.00. This fee covers a professionally-written query letter, submissions to publishers, expert editing of the author's manuscript, phone calls, emails, and contract negotiations. |
